Deck the Halls Sunday!

Hello Everyone,
It is that time of year again...time to turn our crafting to Christmas decor and gift!

This is a very creative time of year and I thought I might give us an opportunity to share what we are creating for holiday season. Today I am beginning Deck The Halls Sundays blog hop that will continue until Christmas with a new "how to" video on bleaching and dyeing your own bottle brush trees.

Bleaching and Dyeing Bottle Brush Christmas Trees
Next week I will have some ornaments created using some of the trees I have bleached and dyed. Also, I recently found a beautiful Vintage feather style tree, and you will see me start from scratch to create ornaments and decorations to fill it up! Yay!

Next week I will post Saturday evening for Sundays so we can get an early start. So if you would like to join in with any posts sharing home made Christmas decorations or gifts, then stop by and link up (today if you are ready as I will keep toady's open all week) next Saturday and Sunday.

Happy Holiday Crafting!
Hugs,
Terri

Tissue Paper Transfer Video!

Hello All!
Today I am sharing with you my newest video. Tissue paper Transfers! Yay! I love creating with these transfers, the variety of images are endless and can be used in all types of projects. You can used them for backgrounds, for layers, for cards, tags, to cover boxes...all kinds of ways. Below is an ATC card I made using a tissue transfer image in the background. I took the images from an vintage women's magazine.

Since creating this video I have realized that I can rub a bit of black Stazon ink on one side of the transparency, just a light coating, and then the printer is able to "see" it better. No need for the extra copy paper sheet. Remember to seal your tissue paper after you print it, both sides. This helps to stop bleeding of the ink when you adhere it to your art work with glue or gel medium. Even then, be careful as you apply it not to rub too much. Test out a little piece of your transfer first, just to see how set the ink is.

Hugs to you all!

Next Happy June Giveaway and new Video!

Hello All!
Happy Sunday night!
Tonight I am sharing two things with you....one, a new free video tutorial Tissue Paper Transfers and two, something I have made for my giveaway. If you haven't heard, I am having a month long Happy June Giveaway to thank all of you lovely readers! You can sign up to win this canvas as well as the other two items in my giveaway (that you can comment on HERE and HERE to enter). For Tea Time, just comment on this post. You only need be a follower to enter and win.

I will be showing you two more giveaway items before the end of June, when I will draw the winners names. I wish I had a gift for each and everyone of you! I wish you all the best of luck!

I created this Tea Time canvas by using the tissue paper technique in my new video. I applied the printed (and sealed) tissue paper with gel medium to canvas, being very careful to not let the colors run. Even though I sealed the tissue paper, the ink was still prone to running. I learned patience with this one!
The tea pot is a fabulous image made available by Karen at the Graphics Fairy.
Thank you so much Karen!

....as well, as some vintage trims, and rhinestone. I love using black with this parchment colored tissue paper! I wanted to create something fun, and this is what I came up with.

I am joining Karen for Brag Monday at the Graphics Fairy, I love seeing what everyone does with her images.

Now all I need is a tea cup image that goes well with the tea pot,
then I could create a matching canvas!

Hugs to you all!

New Free Holiday Banner Video

Hello Every One and Happy December!

To celebrate the beginning of the most magical month of the year, I have created a little video showing how to make a simple banner that you could drape across the front of your fireplace mantle, or over a window... or anywhere!

In this video I do a banner with the word LOVE, in the photo the banner says JOY.

You could do these banners in so many different ways...they are super easy and fast. I made two from scratch in one day.

I hope you enjoy this little gift to you.

Hugs,
Terri
