Saint Valentine's Day Fete
A bracelet of love.........................for Valentines Day. Made with vintage beads and bronze charms. Perfect for you or someone you love. Post a comment to enter your name in the draw. What a perfect holiday to give away symbols of love!
Rebecca from Sugar and Spice Art Confections is hostess of this Fete. She has a story of romance and a beautiful giveaway posted on her blog.
A poem for you from Will
Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no! it is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wand'ring bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle's compass come;
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom:
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.
William Shakespeare

That is without a doubt my favorite sonnet! Thank you for sharing it. I also like the sonnet from Shakespeare to his mistress that begins, "My mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun..." and ends, "... and yet, by heaven, I think my love as rare as any she belied with false compare."
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by my blog. I've loved visiting yours!
Happy Valentine's Day...
XO,
Sheila :-)
Terri... I just realized that you are the one giving away the bracelet. It is GORGEOUS, and you are SO sweet!!!
ReplyDeleteWhile I would love more than anything to enter your drawing, I'm afraid I have been placed on giveaway restriction. It seems I won too many drawings before Christmas, and I promised my friend Claudie I would give others a chance. This is SO hard for me as I am a shiny object thief (oops, I mean aficionado), and I'm going through withdrawals. LOL!
There is going to be one bird out there who is going to be very, very happy! :-)
XO,
Sheila
Terri, Thanks so much for the sweet comments you have left me recently on my blog. I wanted to stop by to say Hi, and thank you!

If the Looming Presence in my life had read and appreciated those wonderful lines, things may have been different and I wouldn't be making bad jokes about Cupid and his arrow!!
ReplyDeleteYour bracelet is absolutely superb. It is a skill I admire greatly but could never emulate.
Thanks so much for your kind comments on my blog.
