Tea Cup Tuesday-What I love about Tea!

Hello All!
Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday!
Today I am sharing with you what I love about Tea.
I find tea to be a comfort, a break in the day,
a moment to savor just being here now.

Choosing a lovely tea cup, setting a tray, picking out the type of tea.....all this is such a joy in my day! This little Haviland tea cup and saucer are one of my favorites. Her gold trims have already been loving worn away with use many many years ago, and I am continuing this process with my daily use of the cup.

Teapots are another joy in the pleasure of taking tea. This sweet little teapot is from Bavaria made by Z.S&C. I shelter about 10 teapots in my home. I adore each one! Am I silly or what? Waxing on about china! Lol!

I find the taste of raw sugar to be delicious in most of my teas...

....as well as some milk.

A pretty sugar bowl and a vintage spoon....all add to the delight of my tea.

Now if I can also have some toast and jam....well, then I truly feel pampered! Yum!
For me, add some freshly picked flowers and it is the perfect tea for me! It can hardly get any better.....unless I was having tea at a pub in England!

Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit and listening to me talk about my love for tea time! I truly appreciate your visit and your comments!

  2. Terri, I must say, that for me, the pretty flower designs on the tea cups are my favorite part of the cup. I always notice them first, then the shape of the cup, etc. Your little worn cup is precious. It really has seen many tea times, hasn't it.

I love your teapot - sooo cheery and the shape is fun and happy. It's saying "please pour me for some lovely quiet tea time." I don't think it's crazy to have 10 tea pots. I'm sure they have their own unique flare.

I like raw sugar, too...and of course with a darker tea milk is a must!

Enjoy your tea and the day,
    Marianne

  5. Here in Scotland, the first thing we do when people come to visit is to ask if they'd like a "wee cuppa"! Everything is better after a wee cup of tea!

  6. Hello Terri,
I agree with you about tea being a lovely respite. I don't take either sugar or milk in mine but that sugar sure presents itself well! Your tea cup is as cute as can be and I'm sure a real pleasure to sip from. I so enjoyed your post today. Thank you for sharing it with us and I hope your week is delightful in every way.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

Beautiful tea things you showed us today!
When I added my link to the list I was in a hurry and couldn´t leave a comment, but now here I am to tell you that I found your Haviland tea cup lovely, even with marks of time and use (I'm crazy about antiques) and the teapot is a real beauty.

  34. Hi Terri!
I've just been having a wonderful time browsing through your last few posts and enjoying looking at your lovely selection of teacups and pots. Tea always should be had from a pretty, dainty cup otherwise it doesn't taste as tea should :) There truly is nothing more English/Chinese than sipping a freshly brewed cup of tea whilst seated in a pretty spot.

  36. Your handpainted rose teapot is so pretty! How much fun would that be to have tea in an historic pub in England! :-) I enjoy having a simple cup of tea with toast and jam (or cinnamon). I think just drinking from a pretty cup makes it special.

  37. Another wonderful video Terri! I think I might try this technique on my laser printer because I noticed that the prints don't bleed from those types of copies. Thanks so much for sharing your talent.
