Hello All!
Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday!
Today my cup is a a pretty one,
with colors matching this lovely vintage table topper.
Colors just right for fall.
I have never noticed the decal mistake in the bottom of the cup...
but now that I have done this photo, I can see it clearly...can you?
See the small strawberry on the right? The decal was not applied properly and the fruit is shortened.
It is easy to miss a spot even this big, on a cup one is looking at to purchase. I still love this cup though...mistakes do not necessarily mean not to buy.
She is just so pretty on the inside!
I do love the cream colored background...
and of course the gold flower design around the cup!

Tea today is Assam with cream and sugar.....YUM!
As you can see, this backstamp does not actually mention the manufacturer.
I am sharing this cup once more hoping some one will know if the gold crown itself identifies the maker?

Each year at this time, I tend to start baking pumpkin pies...
Pumpkin is my favorite!
I like to try new recipes each year and this was my first one.
Pumpkin pie and tea go very well together!
.....and the pumpkin pie did taste quite good! Yay! On to the next recipe!
(whispers...."don't tell anyone, but I think I do this just so I can have more pumpkin pie!")

If you would like to join in the tea cup fun,
Just go and create a post with your tea cup in it,
and then come back here to link that post up below.
Martha and I are still having fun hosting this tea party!
Hugs,
Terri
Hello Terri
ReplyDeleteNice rich colours on your teacup - think of the imperfection as character! Since our Canadian Thanksgiving was so long ago now, I'm about ready for pumpkin pie, and I agree that is so good with a cup of tea.
Judith
Beautiful teacup. The pie looks scrumptious.
ReplyDeleteHi Terri!
ReplyDeleteI love, love your lovely teacup..bone china, so see through, it must be. Thank you for hosting this lovely tea party.Yummy pumpkin pie! Big hugs,

That is a gorgeous teacup, Terri! I did notice the berry but it is so lovely in spite of it. I love the cream colour with all the lovely gold. And my favourite pie has got to be pumpkin too. I think I could eat it most days. Too bad it is so full of calories! Ha!Ha!
ReplyDeleteI eat it any way. Thank you for sharing your exquisite teacup and enjoy your week, my friend.
Blessings,
Sandi

ReplyDeleteLovely teacup. Pumpkin pie and tea sound just right to me. Sorry I have no idea on the gold crown stamp. Sweet sipping dear...
ReplyDeleteA very pretty cup! I would never have noticed the imperfection had you not mentioned it. The pie looks delicious. I have never had pumpkin pie. I have never even been tempted to try it. I don't know if I ever will. I suppose I might be surprised if I did!
ReplyDeleteHi Terri. Love your teacup. How funny about the strawberry, but who cares? It's a lovely design anyway! I love pumpkin pie but my honey doesn't like it, so I get it when we go somewhere. Thanks for hosting.
ReplyDeleteRuth

P.S. ~ (I've been gone so long from being able to take the time and energy in visiting my fellow bloggers and commenting in 'blog-land', that it's great to be back visiting and saying 'hello' once again.
Saying 'hi' to old friends as well as new fellow bloggers is a true joy and I thank God)!
Hello Terri!
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful teacup and faults like this do happen with decals. It makes it unique!
When I linked to Tea Cup Tuesday I caused an extra click that turned my image blank and I couldn't change it, sorry.
Can you do something about it?
I can´t help about the backstamp and I don't think it's easy to identify, with so many English makers...
Thanks for the lovely tea with the yummy pumpkin pie.
Hugs
Dear Terri,
ReplyDeletewho is perferct? This cup is a treasure, even with this little mistake. And it is not so visible immids this rich decoration. Indeed a lovely set, with and without pumpkin pie. Thank you for sharing this interesting details and for hosting this sweet event. Have a great week.
Best greetings, Johanna
hi terri what a lovely post..love the cup..i want tea now!!!! and the pie.....cor just yummmy hope you are well..hugs sassyx
ReplyDeleteTerri, I think your teacup is gorgeous (who cares about the decal) and perfect with your linens and pumpkin pie for Autumn. I picked up a teacup this weekend -- the thrift store was getting ready to close and I didn't check as closely as I should have. When I got home I found that the saucer had been broken and repaired. No wonder the price was good. So what!!! The cup and saucer are still beautiful -- the porcelain so thin. Sounds like a good post to me! LOL! Happy Tea Day and thanks so much for hosting! <3
ReplyDeleteLove that TeaCup. I don't know who made it, wish I did. LOVE pumpkin pie.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this tea cup. So beautiful

ReplyDeleteI like your excuse to make pumpkin pie, I am going to try this with cherry pie!
ReplyDeleteAs usual, your teacup is very beautiful and the decal not being applied right does not mar the beauty one bit.
Thank-you again for hosting this blog party Terri, I love being able to participate, and it gives me an excuse to bake and have tea parties.

No tea cups at the ready right now but just wanted to say what a gorgeous cup that is. Love the gilded detailing and the floral patterns. Makes the cup both whimsical and chique!
ReplyDelete(P.S. allow me a shameless plug here :) I am having another tea-related link up today - feel free to join!)
Your cup and saucer with the lovely fruit center and gold filigree rim is just so pretty. This certainly complements your cloth. The pumpkin pie looks so yummy and the tea is just the best accompaniment. I love your idea of baking a different recipe just to enjoy more pumpkin pie excellent thought! Thanks for hosting this wonderful party and you have the right pie for Thanksgiving or anytime!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pam
