Tea Cup Tuesday-Savouring Quiet Moments

Hello All!
Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday!
Yay!
I am delighted to be sharing with you all again today.
It is just about that time of year when those of us who celebrate Christmas
get very, very busy!
So I thought that today's tea would be the calm before the storm! Lol!
A quiet pre Christmas season tea....

My cup today is a pretty one that, despite it's bouquet of flowers, reminds me of winter.

I think it is the golden swirls and dots....and the cool color of blue...
They bring to mind blustery snowy winds.

Fanciful I know, but I thought of it the moment I first saw this cup....
So it seems to be the perfect cup for me today, as I head into the Christmas season...

I just adore the flowers on this cup....the artwork is really beautiful.

a simply pretty handle.

The back stamp shows she was manufactured by Paragon.
Somewhere in the late 50s or early 60s. My favorite!
(well, other than Limoges, Foley and....)

My tea of choice today is Chamomile.....just look at these lovely flowers!

And some fresh gingersnap cookies.
Mmmmmmmm.
I dusted them with powdered sugar using clean stencil from my art room,
It was easy to do, and added interest as well as flavor.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

If you would like to join in Martha and I and post your own tea cup, just create a post with it and come back here to link up that post below. Then we can all come and visit you too! : )

Hugs,
Terri

  6. This is the finest little tea setting, dear Terri, with your beautiful cup, and the cookies looking like they have arrived from the most exclusive bakery- so pretty they are with your dustet sugar on top.
    Hugs from Denmark, and me.

  7. Dear Terri, I completely agree with you about the winter mood of the teacup. Imagination is essential to save us from the greyness :-)
Chamomile seems like a good cure for stress, but frankly I would throw myself headlong more willingly on cookies :-)
As always, thanks for your kind invitation.
    Mini hugs

  8. Love the cup and the detailing! The colour scheme remains me of the 'house colours' of Fortnum & Mason. They have china in that colour too, so check out their website if you're interested.

The stenciled cookies is a stroke of genius. When I bake a cake, I often cut strips of paper towel and make a lattice pattern on my cake and dust it with icing sugar. It looks nice but you've taken it up to the next level!

Am hosting my own link-up tomorrow so in case you're interested, join the fun!

  20. I think that would be my favorite teacup for sure. I love everything about it. In fact, I would decorate a room around it because the colors are soothing and invigorating at the same time. ( how can that be ?)

Thank-you for hosting tea Cup Tuesday Terri, I am looking forward to December and all the beautiful decorating I see on Tuesdays on-line.
