Tea Cup Tuesday-Virtual Antique Shopping at SuzAnna's


Hello All!

Happy Tea Cup Tuesday!
How about a trip to SuzAnna's Antiques?
A wonderful place where I find 
some of my favorite treasures,
especially tea related antiques.

A few years back I found these wonderful French cups...


I was so happy to see there were five of them!
And at a great price too!


This lovely design is on the side of the cup.


 Interesting backstamps!
Some stamped and some incised. 
The orange is for the shop it was created for ,
The blue is the maker,
and there are incised marks underneath
that I can not read.
Ruby Lane has a good page on identifying Sevres Porcelain.
It is very possible that these are not truly Sevres.


Vintage Village has a number of paces to shop...

Suzanne's is the largest one,
and the first shop I will share this week...
it is chock full of lovlies!

 It is always a treat to poke around each room...


SuzAnna's includes many vendors so there is plenty of variety.


Beautiful lavender transferware!


We had an afghan just like this one in my childhood home.
A trip through Suzanne's always brings back memories.


There are nooks and corners to explore...
and tables artfully decorated.


Hutches full of china...


Wonderful way to show off quilts, linens, tablecloths....


 Lots of vintage clothing and  textiles.
I have found many good things in this corner...
especially in this basket : )

A fall themed tea cup for $6.


Bavarian...I can't make out the word below...
do any of you recognize it?


There are fall touches everywhere...putting me in the mood for Thanksgiving.


This sweet little cup did not have a backstamp.


The jewelry room is full of all kinds of treasures...
and I love the vintage Christmas balls hanging from the ceiling.

The owner, SuzAnna, is a very kind woman. 
Everyone there is helpful and excited about you
finding something you love. 

I have always had a a good and welcome experience here.

    What a so cute shop! Iwould like to find some like this in France! There's some, but very expensive!The cup you show at $6 would be 20 to 50€!!!!!!

    Wowness..that was such fun, one of my favorite things to do..what a beautiful place..love that front entrance/ door..colorful! I spotted so many treasures, chairs and things I adore..thanks for taking me on such a fantastic journey with you! Love the silver tea sets and always adore lavender transferware..!     Oh boy, that is my kind of place. What fun to browse through, even if not buying anything, it is worth the nostalgic trip.
    I had the same afghan growing up and even have one now with a few holes... Loved the Christmas balls hanging from the ceiling at the jewelry stall. Hutches full of china, old quilts...ah, be still by heart. I swooned over the purple transfer ware.

    thanks so much for that awesome shopping trip-esp. since it saved me lots of money -lol!! Honestly I could get in so much trouble there. I used to make afghans like the granny square one hanging on the chair. And looky, I've finally linked up and joined the tea party :)

    Wow, what an amazing shop! I love stores like this. The lavender transferware is so pretty.

    The backstamp looks like it says Jaeger Co underneath Bavaria.

    What a fun shop. I love the china and old linens best. This last week I was at my Mom's in Vrginia for her funeral and I washed several afghans just like the one you show. One I put back on her bed. This shop looks wonderful!

    Your gilded tea cups are very elegant, very French-like, whether they are Sévres or not.
    As to the name on the Bavarian cup, it looks Jaeger to me, a German maker I know of, but I believe that Johanna can be more helpful...

    I can't help with Bavarian china, but I read in the comment that you had help.
    As for the French stamp, the double L in a cercle looks exactly like the Sevres marks used during Louis-Philippe's reign and after, from 1834 and later. From here I can't say for sure, of course, but maybe you can have a look on that amazing website that helps me with the marks on my china: http://www.oldandsold.com/pottery/france11.shtml
    Also, the name in orange is the name of the pattern according to me, I might be wrong though as I don't personally own any Sevres Porcelain and it stands for "Château de Fontainebleau".
    I believe those cups were an amazing find, they are lovely, authentic or not.

    Oh Terri one day if ever I come visiting you will have to put this shop on your list. What gorgeous white and gold cups and saucers.
    I don't think I have ever seen lavender transfer ware and I did spot some silver plated goodness in a lovely pot!
    You are such a lucky girl to have these shops nearby! Makes me feel like I'm living on a desert island but that's OK cause I can get on with my creating.

    That shop is adorable. I love the remnants of paint on the wood boards. So many good stuff in there too. I can see why you love spending time in there.
