Tea Cup Tuesday-Shelley

 Hello All!
Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday!
Tomorrow we are expecting a snow storm.
So I am getting out my only two Shelley tea cups for a cheery tea!

Does that sight not just bring some cheer to your heart?
Pink and lavender are so soothing.

What bold designs! I love these flowers too on the blue cup.
What do you think of their choice of blue handle?

The soft pastel flowers of the pink cup remind me of spring...
such a nice thought on the eve of  3-5" of snow!

I think one of my favorite design styles of Shelley tea cups
is the lovely wavy edge and the relief detail around the cup lip and plate edges.

The back of the pink Shelley....so sweet!

Choose a cup for your tea...
I will use the other lovely one
and we can sit and sip together...

Blue cup...

Pink cup....
Can you see the little crack across her base?
Sad but true, we shall use her anyways.

I am not feeling up to snuff tonight,
so I am keeping this very short.

Thank you for coming to visit for tea today!
I am so glad you could!

If you would like to join in and share a cup with us,
just link your tea cup post up below.

  8. Terri,
You and I have the love of Shelley in common. My first Shelley was the Violets creamer and sugar from my Mother. Then I began collecting a set of Blue Rock in the dainty shape. I love collecting Shelley. I never know where the hunt will take me but I love a bargain. The dainty Begonia cup is beautiful and the cup in pink is very familiar but I can't recall the pattern. This is a very elegant tea time when you bring out your Shelly. Thanks for hosting this week and stay warm for it is only be in upper 30's today but 70's in forecast!

  16. You've got the right idea, Terri, pulling out the Shelley with such gorgeous little blossoms to sweep away the snow and bring thoughts of spring. Actually - I like snow - when the temperatures aren't zero and below. Right now - I'm feeling the cold has gotten very old. Hope you are feeling better - above the weather.
    Joy!

  22. You know what Terri? I don't really know much about tea cups, but the Shelly cups always grab my attention. Why must they be so expensive!?! Love the different coloured handles. My one Shelly cup has that too. Many warm hugs to see you thru the expected snow storm. :)

  23. the first thing I thought when I saw the first photo was how bright and springlike it looked! It made me smile. We have snow for the first time this winter and it is going to be in the teens in the morning. A cuppa sounds good about now!

  38. Shelley tea cups are so divine! They are so delicate and translucent. I own one in shades of aqua that I adore! Some day I will make a posting of some of my tea cups, all various designs and makers. If I knew how to do the Tea Cup Tuesday I would participate. Maybe I will try and figure it out.

  39. Another amazingly pretty set of teacups out of which it must be pleasure to drink. I love those soft blue handles too. The cups make me long for spring and summer when all the flowers will be out. But in the meantime the tea in such lovely cups must taste of sunshine.
