Hello All!
Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday!
Tomorrow we are expecting a snow storm.
So I am getting out my only two Shelley tea cups for a cheery tea!
Does that sight not just bring some cheer to your heart?
Pink and lavender are so soothing.
What bold designs! I love these flowers too on the blue cup.
What do you think of their choice of blue handle?
The soft pastel flowers of the pink cup remind me of spring...
such a nice thought on the eve of 3-5" of snow!
I think one of my favorite design styles of Shelley tea cups
is the lovely wavy edge and the relief detail around the cup lip and plate edges.
The back of the pink Shelley....so sweet!
Choose a cup for your tea...
I will use the other lovely one
and we can sit and sip together...
Blue cup...
Pink cup....
Can you see the little crack across her base?
Sad but true, we shall use her anyways.

I am not feeling up to snuff tonight,
so I am keeping this very short.
Thank you for coming to visit for tea today!
I am so glad you could!
If you would like to join in and share a cup with us,
just link your tea cup post up below.
No wonder Shelley is such popular. Bone China. Each cup and saucer is lovely.
ReplyDeleteThese flower garden cups should help you fight the snow blues. Love the blue handle on the one...a shade of sky.
ReplyDeleteHi Terri,
ReplyDeleteYour Shelley teacups are both so pretty. I favour the pink one. Hope you feel better soon. It's been a bad winter for sickness. Take care.

ReplyDeleteHi Terri,
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you aren't feeling well. I hope that you can get some rest today. I do love Shelley teacups - both are gorgeous and so very costly. Just perfect teacups for spring. Let's hope it arrives soon. Thank you for visiting me and leaving such kind words! Get well soon. Karen
What lovely teacups, Terri! Love those flowers and the different colors....Christine
ReplyDeleteTerri,
ReplyDeleteYou and I have the love of Shelley in common. My first Shelley was the Violets creamer and sugar from my Mother. Then I began collecting a set of Blue Rock in the dainty shape. I love collecting Shelley. I never know where the hunt will take me but I love a bargain. The dainty Begonia cup is beautiful and the cup in pink is very familiar but I can't recall the pattern. This is a very elegant tea time when you bring out your Shelly. Thanks for hosting this week and stay warm for it is only be in upper 30's today but 70's in forecast!
Pam
I love your pretty teacups and think they are gorgeous and look like spring! Thank you for visiting and your sweet comment. I hope your storm isn't too bad. Pamela
ReplyDeleteBeautiful as always! I hope you are feeling better, or are snuggled up and warm during the snow storm, with tea, a good book, or a good nap! Warm hugs and thoughts to you Terri!
ReplyDeleteYou teacups are so beautiful, Terri. The second one you showed is my favorite. Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving such a nice comment!
ReplyDeleteTwo very pretty cups Terri. Sorry to hear you are feeling a bit under the weather. I hope you keep warm and cosy in that snow, hopefully it won't disrupt life too much. Elaine
ReplyDeleteSuch sweet, cheerful teacups! I hope you feel better very soon; take good care and stay warm!
ReplyDeleteThanks, too, for your always cheerful posts!
ReplyDeleteOh how lovely they both are! Shelley has the prettiest cup shapes, don't you think? Hope you are feeling better very soon.
ReplyDeleteYou've got the right idea, Terri, pulling out the Shelley with such gorgeous little blossoms to sweep away the snow and bring thoughts of spring. Actually - I like snow - when the temperatures aren't zero and below. Right now - I'm feeling the cold has gotten very old. Hope you are feeling better - above the weather.
ReplyDeleteJoy!

You know what Terri? I don't really know much about tea cups, but the Shelly cups always grab my attention. Why must they be so expensive!?! Love the different coloured handles. My one Shelly cup has that too. Many warm hugs to see you thru the expected snow storm. :)
ReplyDeletethe first thing I thought when I saw the first photo was how bright and springlike it looked! It made me smile. We have snow for the first time this winter and it is going to be in the teens in the morning. A cuppa sounds good about now!

ReplyDeleteThe Shelley teacup is very pretty and although the blue handles are surprising to me on first glance, I think they "make" the teacup even more lovely.
ReplyDeleteI hope you're feeling well now, and again, thank-you for hosting Tea Cup Tuesdays Terri.

This Shelley tea cup the first one caught my eye, I don't think I have ever seen one as beautiful. I mean...really I have a tea room I have a lot of tea cups, yours is beautiful. Oh, if you are able watch a Whinnie the Pooh show it helps, hugs,

Shelley tea cups are so divine! They are so delicate and translucent. I own one in shades of aqua that I adore! Some day I will make a posting of some of my tea cups, all various designs and makers. If I knew how to do the Tea Cup Tuesday I would participate. Maybe I will try and figure it out.

Another amazingly pretty set of teacups out of which it must be pleasure to drink. I love those soft blue handles too. The cups make me long for spring and summer when all the flowers will be out. But in the meantime the tea in such lovely cups must taste of sunshine.
