Hello All
Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday!
Sunday was a beautiful day to celebrate Mother's Day,
I was lucky to go on a breakfast picnic
at a local park that is just gorgeous.
We arrived early and found a spot by the pond,
under a Japanese maple tree.
under a Japanese maple tree.
The contrast of the intense sun and dappled shade,
made my images all come out dark.
So we only have this image from across the pond.
It was a serene and lovely morning.
And our light fare (of tea, watermelon and
egg salad sandwiches) was delicious...
made even better by our view.
So my picnic basket was a success!
We walked around the large area of gardens
There were beautiful spring flowers everywhere.
Beautiful colorings...
Our gentle spring has benefited the gardens.
The flowers were stunning
and very inspiring!
When I returned home my daughter had
decorated the kitchen table area
to celebrate Mother's Day.
I was surprised!
She gifted me this wonderful book,
That I am enjoying very much.
Later on while reading, I enjoyed tea in this special cup...
which I think my have lavender on it?
I am not totally sure of the flower.
What do you think?
She is a pretty vintage cup,
She does have some bits of whimsical
decor around her rim and pretty handle.
Which I love about her.
And here we see on the backstamp
that she was manufactured by Tuscan.
It was a fine company in Staffordshire England.
1947-61 was the time period for this stamp.
Thank you all for stopping by today!
If you would like to join in Tea Cup Tuesday,

Dear Terri,
ReplyDeletewhat a beautiful book ,from your lovely daughter. I had to visit Amazon, to see a little more .
And that cup is created for Mothers day, and a cup of cozy tea. I`m so glad you was able to go for your tea in the park tour, and that you enjoyed it , in the wonderful sunny weather.
I hope your tuesday will be a good day, dear friend.
Hugs from Dorthe
Your picnic sounds delightful. I enjoyed seeing all the beautiful flowers. I think the flower on the teacup does resemble Lavender! It can be if you want it to be anyway.(LOL)
ReplyDeleteGood morning Terri,
ReplyDeleteYour picnic spot is so beautiful! It looks so serene and how lovely to sip tea and drink in all the beauty there. Your "Mother" teacup is lovely and I love Beatrix Potter anything. Thank you for sharing and have a lovely day.
Hugs,
Sandi
It looks like you had the perfect Mother's Day, Terri. I went to the Dallas Arboretum and enjoyed the beauty of the outdoors and had a brunch picnic on the lawn with some of my family.
ReplyDeleteOh my - what a perfectly lovely post with all sorts of stunning! To begin with - a real picnic in such a garden is swoon-worthy. A lovely spot by the water - the photo looked like it was a painting. The flowers are gorgeous - and good on you with the Beatrix book! My husband gifted me with it at Christmas along with "A Fine Romance" - I have it displayed on my tea counter with Beatrix tea things - more of which I'll be featuring next week along with the book, too! Now, I must plan a picnic of my own with a great basket I scored thrifting for only $5! I am inspired!
