Last Autumn Tea...with Jane

Hello All!
It is good to "see"
you all again this week
: )
I enjoyed visiting you!

Yesterday was a brilliant day to
have tea outdoors.
As you can see,
the maple tree was still wearing
her fall coat.

The birch in front of her
had long lost her golden glow.

Today,
the maple is almost bare
after a cold wet and windy day.

This time of year weather can
change so quickly,
and it reminds me winter is coming!

Having tea outdoors...
with Jane...
on a gift of a day...
Bliss full!

"but for my own part, if a book is well written,
I always find it too short.”
Jane Austen

I totally agree with Jane here.

The Christmas season always
brings Jane close to me.
I do not know why...
Her birthday is December 16,
the same day as one of my own.
As the weather chills...

 ...I find myself reading my
favorite stories all over again,

 Having a lovely tea cup
to drink from?
: )

I forgot to take a pic of my tea.
I enjoyed a cup of chai!

She is a pretty cup?
Her shape interests me.
Her roses are lovely.
Her country of origin is Austria
and this stamp was in use from 1880 - 1925.

*

Do you have favorite stories you
love to read during December?
I am very honored that
(click on name above to see)
is sharing my Jane Austen themed
Christmas tree in their
newsletter and online magazine...
There is a recent picture of me there...
if you would like to take a look : )

Thank you for coming by for a visit today!
I loved reading all your comments last week.
You are all so kind!
I do not know if Martha will post this week.
Please...
keep her in your good healing thoughts
and prayers.

I am joining Ruth, Bernideen, Sandi  for tea,
as well as Judith for her Mosaic Monday.

Thank you ladies for hosting!

Hugs,
Terri

  1. You've created a cozy place on the white wicker chair for tea and reading Terri. The teacup is a pretty pattern and a Jane Austen book is a great read at any time.
The article on your JA tree was tastefully done and you look very nice standing beside it. Congratulations for being featured.

  2. Terri:
You have some great old copies of Jane Austen's books and they hold a charm of their own. I have never read one of the books but have the DVD's. I always ask people if they like the older ones or the newer. It's a mixture of answers. I really enjoyed seeing that pretty teacup too!

  6. Hello dear Terri,
The artickle is so very beautiful, and I love seing you with long hair in the photo.
As for the tree it is pure beauty with all the glittery amazing ornaments you did. Congratulations in being featured , with your masterpieces, and lovely explanations about your love for Jane.
The photoes from your garden are so beautiful, too, and it must be so wonderful sitting there with a cup of tea, my friend , and a good book in your hands !!
    Have some lovely days, dearest.

  7. Terri, your post is lovely. Jane Austen always brings to mind gentler times when families took time to talk to one another and cooked a meal side by side. The holidays were always so much simpler, I think. Less hustle and bustle. Would that we could all slow down and enjoy each lovely moment. A cup of tea is a good way to do that. Curling up in a comfy chair with a good book is another. Congratulations on being featured in the article. I must check that out. Thank you for sharing and joining me today and take good care, my friend.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  8. How delightful to get another beautiful day, warm enough to sip some tea and read outdoors. We had a taste of that a few days last week. Today it is rainy and much cooler than it had been. Good day to be indoors and nurse my annoying upper respiratory infection. I love watching the Jane Austin movies-whether they are old or new. Thanks for sharing that gorgeous article showcasing your stunning tree and ornaments!! And I do love this tea cup and the different shape too. Lovely mosaic of pretty things today!

  10. Your Jane Austen tree is just beautiful! I really enjoyed reading how you crafted each ornament. I'm a Jane Austen fan too and hope to visit her home in the near future. My family lived in England back in the 60's for two years, but we didn't make a trip to the Jane Austen sites.
So glad you're back to blogging!

  15. How lovely to see you and your beautiful Jane Austen tree. Congratulations on your feature. Tea outdoors for us is not happening as the temperatures are very cold. Winter is here and with it the promise of El Nino rain and snow in record amounts. Beautiful Tea Cup and Christmas Calm Dear...

  26. Terri, it was so lovely to see a tea themed post from you after all these months. That cup is so pretty, the green so vivid, even on a duller day. The maple tree looked so beautiful, it is sad to see these beautiful leaves flutter down. How great that the Jane Austen Centre featured your tree. I did pop over and read the article and it was lovely to see you there. I hope your preparations for Christmas continue to go well. Elaine x
