Marie Art

I have recently joined a Marie Antoinette art group, and so I have begun making things with beautiful soft colors and Marie images. It has been very enjoyable. This canvas, used backwards, is the first truly "Marie" art I have done besides my "Paris" necklace. I dyed the silk with H2O watercolors. I used Valspar to crackle the canvas. I used vintage rhinestones on her headdress and a couple on the frame among the ribbon.

I love Marie too and have done three "book"lets on her along with the other piece you saw on my blog. This is so cool. Wish I had the time to join a Marie group. You're art work is stunning. Marlynn

Terri, this is just beautiful! I love the soft colors and the rose at the top. I have a friend that would be gaga over this because she loves Marie so. It's brilliant how you dyed the silk ribbon. It's funny, because I just purchased a silk blouse at a garage sale that was discolored in one area...and thought...no problems, I'll make art out of it. I had planned to watercolor on it too! Great minds.... : )

Yes, I'd still love to swap rolodex cards. How many would you like to swap? I'm getting ready to work on some for Linda Kunsman too...so this would be great...do them all at once!

I love all of your creations. Where do you get your gorgeous ribbon from? I love the roses that I have seen and can not find any ribbons to make them with..
Your designs are lovely,
Sharon
