Tea Cup Tuesday-Looking on the Bright Side

Hello All!
Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday!

(Betsy is contemplating the meaning of life)

Fall is truly here in NC
The sky is full of cold gray clouds
and it has been raining for two days...
A roaring fire, a good book and....

 This...would be most welcome!
Too bad "this" is across the Atlantic in England!
I will have to patiently wait....

In the mean time,
To cheer me up, I will choose a CUP full of summer!

Isn't she just darling?

A cup of Chamomile would be very welcome today.
And this sweet cup will be just right for it.
Tea has a way of calming our souls...

 (1946-1952)

 She is a Rosina,
You can see that her name is pretty much rubbed off,

There is a pattern number 4866
and a few other ticks that may be indicative
of who worked on the cup.
Pottery workers were often paid only for pieces
that came out of the kiln in sale-able shape.

Rosina was one of my first favorite cups to find.
Many companies have a "look"
You can already guess who made it by the
shape and design.
This is how it is with Rosina.
Many designs are footed have a waist.
I love their waisted shapes
(see the first image of her,
it is like she has a belt around her middle)
and their sweet handles.

Thank you so much for coming by to visit!
I glad you are here, I enjoy reading your comments!
Hugs,
Terri

Hello Terri,
Your pup is just so cute looking out the window. I love your teacup. I adore the colour and the style as well. She's a beauty!
It would be lovely to savour scones and jam in Britain. Thank you my friend for sharing and have a beautiful week.

Your Betsy is adorable! When I was younger my family had a Yorkie - his name was Sir Oliver Sedgewick Mitchell Harris :) We called him Ollie for short. Yorkie's are sweet dogs. I love, and I mean LOVE your tea cup and saucer - absolutely stunning. Have a great week!

Warmly,
Stephanie

Betsy is so sweet and those English scones look scrumptious.

That is a beautiful teacup. The colors and shape are outstanding. I don't think I have a Rosina cup in my collection yet - must start looking.

Dear Terri, your Betsy looks so sweet, and a bit sad about what she sees outside :-)
Your summerly cup,is very beautiful, but I would prefer drinking something different than cammomile-it gives me allergic reaction ! Maybe I could ask for a simple cup of green tea :-)
Hugs,Dorthe

Dear Terri,
You're right, this tea cup shape is very attractive with the foot and waist, but I specially love this colour you so often find in cups.
I'm not so lucky in that respect: although I own some turquoise grounds, this specific shade is hard to find. And it is so lovely!
Another lovely thing you own is that Betsy girl!
Thanks for the delightful tea.

Lovely tea cup dear. A hot cup of Chamomile sounds perfect right now. Mr. C and I have been working around the pond replacing deer trampled destroyed edgings. It is cold and very cloudy yet we have had zero rain. Falling into Autumn Bliss...
