Happy Saturday!
What a gorgeous day it is here in my little part of world!
I hope that you too are having lovely weather.
I have been contemplating my word or words for this new year...
And I have settled on two that feel truly right for me in my here and now...
Grow
and Fly.
And I have settled on two that feel truly right for me in my here and now...
Grow
and Fly.
When I think of growth, I picture tiny shoots coming up out of the fertile ground in spring.
The promise of more to come within it's fresh pale green delicate first true leaves.
For me, this year, I am open to growth!
To Fly for me includes freedom to spread my wings and turn in new directions, seeing from a higher vantage point a bigger picture of my life, as well as new interesting places I would love to grow into.
I am setting my intentions for joyful growth and soaring flight!
Creating in my art room is one of my most joyful pleasure where enjoy growth and new flight patterns as well.
To aid in this intention, I am going to Art and Soul in Virgina where I am going to encourage myself to stretch with learning to Solder with Sally Jean Alexander. Anticipation is palpable!
Here are a pair of earrings I have just finished making, to take with me on my trip. Rutilated Quartz is one of my favorite gemstones. Rutile is a major ore of titanium, it's golden needle like crystals shoot through the quartz like little threads of gold and look so beautiful.
Wishing you all a very happy and creative weekend!
Hugs,
Terri
I have a giveaway going on for some really lovely prizes, if you would like to check it out go to my

It is beautiful here today, too. In the 40's and sunny. I'm pretty spoiled!
Have a wonderful weekend. OH, and I am loving the Thirteenth Tale....it's great!
Beautiful words for all of us to ponder and your earrings are fabulous!!

I'm now following you on Linky :)

Lovely!
ReplyDeleteWish I could wear earrings. :-( Yours are beyond beauty and would at least be pretty on display in the house.
ReplyDeleteThe weather her in Oregon City, Oregon is typically rainforest with a hint of sunshine and blue sky, and daffodils are almost in bloom. Today it is only 46.
Having taken Sally Jean's class, right here in Oregon where she lives, and knowing the possibilities I am very eager to see the perfect works of art that you will create.
Terri belas palavras!

ReplyDeleteYour words suit you perfectly. I did not know Rutilated Quartz so thank you for sharing your beautiful earrings. I must say I am a tad bit green regarding your trip to study soldering with the master of charms. Serene Sunday Dear...
ReplyDeleteLovely earrings, Terri! And how exciting to learn a new creative skill! Just been in our new Hobby Lobby and left dejected - there just isn't enough time in my life to create all the wonderful things I want to make! How blessed you are to work in your studio - perhaps I will have more time later this year to create more . . .
ReplyDeleteJoy!

Great words Terri to inspire you. I love your vintage bird brooch. I am glad the weather is being kind to you. It was very wet here yesterday, but the sun is shining again this morning! Natural stones fascinate me too, amethyst is my favourite, but I also think rutilated quart is sort of magical with those almost golden looking threads runing through. Have a lovely day. Elaine x

Hello, Terry, my creative friend,
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this beautiful post! I know you will grow and soar high in the workshop you are taking. Jewelry is one of my many weaknesses, and I adore those lovely earrings you created. Enjoy your week ahead! Thank you for your visits to Bunny Cottage and for your kind comments always. Vicki
Just stunning!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Suz
Hi Terri! Your earrings are beyond beautiful. They're fit for a queen! What a lovely, inspiring post. I had to read it a few times. I love how you express yourself. I love your vision of growth and your chosen words for the year.
ReplyDeleteYesterday I read about this woman who at 70 decided to learn something new every year. She learned how to swim, become proficient with anything technical. For example, how to program her VCR and things like that. She learned how to paint. I can't remember what else, but it doesn't matter. The point is that people who keep learning and who keep expanding themselves are inspiring.
Enjoy your course, Terri!
Oh Terri....You have chosen PERFECT words for this year.
ReplyDeleteHave fun at Art and Soul.

ReplyDeleteI loved this post...your words...and the photos to match.. a spiritually uplifting journey here today!
hugs
PS; thankyou for your visit and yes you may use it!
Such a lovely post Terri. Growth: something we're all doing ALL THE TIME. That's what I think of. It's never ending... spiritually, emotionally, all those good layers that help us become better people.
ReplyDeleteLove your gorgeous earrings! I'm having a fabulous day off, just getting caught up on blogs and such.
Hope you're having a wonderful day too!

Thanks for your blog post. What I would like to bring up is that personal computer memory has to be purchased if the computer is unable to cope with whatever you do with it.
ReplyDeleteOne can deploy two random access memory boards of 1GB each, for
example, but not certainly one of 1GB and one of 2GB.
One should always check the maker's documentation for one's PC to be sure what type of ram is necessary.

ReplyDeleteHi there! I know this is kind of off topic but I was
ReplyDeletewondering which blog platform are you using for this site?
I'm getting fed up of Wordpress because I've had problems with hackers and I'm looking at options for another platform. I would be awesome if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.

One other issue is when you are in a scenario where you will not have a
ReplyDeletecosigner then you may want to try to wear out all
of your money for college options. You can find many grants or loans and other scholarships and grants that will offer you funds to help with university expenses.
Th for the post.

Nice post. I study one thing more difficult on completely different blogs everyday.
ReplyDeleteIt'll all the time be stimulating to read content material from different writers and practice somewhat one thing from their store. Id want to use some with the content on my blog whether you dont mind. Natually Ill offer you a link in your net blog. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for your publication on this blog. From my
ReplyDeletevery own experience, occasionally softening right up a photograph may provide the wedding photographer with an
amount of an inventive flare. More often than not however,
that soft clouds isn't just what exactly you had in mind and can often times spoil a normally good image, especially if you consider enlarging that.

Thanks for the helpful content. It is also my
ReplyDeletebelief that mesothelioma cancer has an particularly long latency
phase, which means that signs and symptoms of the disease may not
emerge right up until 30 to 50 years after the initial exposure to mesothelioma.
Pleural mesothelioma, which is the most common kind
and affects the area within the lungs, might result
in shortness of breath, breasts pains, plus a persistent coughing,
which may result in coughing up our blood.
