Embracing the Unexpected

My dear Hubby and I were out and about yesterday, when we saw this little helicopter....

When I heard the pilot was offering rides.....my first thought was YES!
Anyone else want to join me?

Just a tiny little area in front of the seat, all "glass", so up close for sure!

The day was clear and bright, so we could see quite a distance.
Beautiful North Carolina greenery!

I would love to learn to fly one of these guys!.....if not for learning what all these mean and more!
I imagine it is quite the process to learn to operate a helicopter!

I loved it!....can I go again????
I had no idea when I woke up in the morning I was going to be enjoying my first helicopter ride!
Off to solder some more...I am really enjoying the learning process as well as the creative.
What are you up to this weekend?
Hugs,
Terri

I don't think I will ever get the chance to do that - so glad you have been given it.

  4. Terri, you are a brave soul. The only way I would ever get into an helicopter would be for a matter of life and death! I am afraid of heights.

  5. That is why we have the word serendipity. ;-) What a wonderful weekend and opportunity. I bet you loved it!
I really like your city. I almost moved there a few years ago. One thing I really liked was that you don't see ugly street signs. Even the McDonalds didn't have unsightly yellow arches!

  12. Looks like fun. And the fact it was un-expected must have made your day. The world certainly looks different from up high doesn't it? My hubby works on military choppers and regularly goes up on test flights....once a yr the spouses and children can go for rides too. It's always such fun.

My weekend's been crazy...so much to do, so little time! Renovations, gardening, family time, community time, but enjoying it all.

  18. My first thought was it was some guy needing a couple hostages as he fled the authorities...

Whoa! What fun for you. Some believe there are no accidents, so this might be the hint you needed to now pursue flying and perhaps owning your own helicopter.

As for soldering, I cannot fathom your needing any more practice. You're already there, I'd say!

  21. Hi Terri, Sounds like you had a wonderful time. Last summer while on vacation on Oregon we did the same thing, my daughter in law and I went up. (My husband and son's have done it several times), I loved it, better than flying on a plane, we went along the Oregon coast. It was so smooth and I loved all the glass to see the scenery. Thanks for sharing. Hugs, Terri
