Downton Abbey ATCs

Hello All!
Our Downton Abbey swap was a success and so fun!

I received 4 lovely ATCs.
This first one is from Jan at A Journey..
It features my favorite couple and is very romantic!

Jan created this wonderful bag for the ATC as well as a handmade tag.
Thank you so much Jan!

This colorful beauty is from Christine LeFever.
It so beautifully shows Carson's attitude...."we may have to have a maid in the dining room"....GASP!
I love it!
Thank you Christine!

This one is from Judith at Poppy Cottage.
I wish you could see it in person, the photo doesn't do it justice as it is embossed in gold and (I think, watercolored).  It is very feminine, just perfect!
Thank you Judith!

And here is Elaine's from The Craft Shed creative ATC book!
How cool is this???
The front is fab with the castle in the background and the beautiful fence in the foreground.

The inside features another favorite couple of mine from the series....
Tom and Sybil.
The picture frame is embossed. I love the way she made this, it is like a little romantic keepsake!

Even the back is lovely with this Art Nouveau style design!
Thank you Elaine!

Thank you everyone who joined in this swap!
I would love to do another one in the future...

I haven't been around very much lately due to health challenges.
I miss visiting you all!
I hope to be back in blogging form soon...
But will be hopping around when I can : )
Hugs,
Terri

Tea Cup Tuesday

Hello All
Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday!
Today is Memorial Day...a day originally known as Decoration Day.
It was begun to honor of the Union soldiers who gave their lives in the American Civil War.
Eventually it became a day to remember all those who gave their lives in service our country.
It has also become a day to remember loved ones who have passed on.

Tea cups seem to be a small matter in comparison to this day...
And I have chosen one I have recently shown, only because of the flowers...
Forget Me Nots

Which is what today is about, not forgetting those who have served our country,
and those family and friends who are no longer with us...
but reside in our hearts memory.

Memory can be a comfort.

And so I give thanks.
For those who have served...
for my loved ones who I have many happy memories of...

Thank you.

Tea Cup Tuesday

Hello All,
Welcome back to Tea Cup Tuesday!
And if this is your first visit... Welcome!

I missed you all last week and will be hopping double time today to see all your tea cups from last week and today. Recent challenges have been getting in the way of my blogging!
Imagine that! Lol!
Thank you all for your kind e-mails inquiring of my health. I appreciate your concern.

My cup today is a gift from my two youngest children for Mother's Day.
Lucky me!

It does look fairly ordinary from the side, white and mint....

The decorative gold rings lends a vintage feel...
(I bet the handle has already told Martha the manufacturer!)

It is an elegant handle! I call it the Wings handle.

The plate is decorated with a lovely spring like spray of flowers.

But the best part is in the bottom of the cup!
La Mere is French for Maman or Mere for Mother...
How sweet!

This sweet cup with the fancy handle and scalloped edges will be a very special cup in my china cabinet!

This cup was manufactured by my favorite china company Paragon!
I have shared many cups from the company over the years we have had T.T.

And here is a sweet little cream and sugar set that I found at a local shop...

 Very pretty shapes and florals...

This set is quite tiny, the sugar bowl holds maybe 1/4 cup.

The creamer as well might hold an 1/8th of a cup!

I love the wavy edge and the two little flower decorating the lip.

Royal Chelsea is another fine English company and they created this set.

Thank you all so much for stopping by to visit.
I will do my best to come and visit you soon : )

Upcoming posts on the results of our Downton Abbey ATC card swap, some new jewelry and my attempt to re vamp a chandelier from Goodwill!

Have a creative and joyful week!
Hugs,
Terri

Tea Cup Tuesday-Blue Beauty

Happy Tea Cup Tuesday!
Another week...another cup!
Last week I confessed I had run out of new cups to show you...
This little blue cup came to my rescue! Yay!

It is such a sweet cup!
I was thrilled to see it sitting on an old hutch in a antique store.
I am very lucky that I seem to find pretty cups for a good price.
(although I don't need more cups....)

I just get all excited when I see them!
Especially if they are a gorgeous blue like this one...
And...
have lovely gold designs on it like this one does.
(the gorgeous rose in the cup is very convincing as well!)

Blue and gold really do complement each other so well!

Any way I look at this cup it looks beautiful to me : )

*Sigh*

She does sit a bit off kilter.
(but I don't mind at all)
I am not sure why...
but every now and they I find a fine cup
That lists to one side....
Hmmmmmm

And this handle.......Oh my! how gorgeous is that!

Delicious Assam!
(does anyone else here breathe in their tea before the first sip?...
what an aroma!)

This beauty is from one of my all time favorites companies....Aynsley! Yay!
Love it when I find one of these cups.

Thank you all so much! I had so much fun last week visiting you all.
If you would like to join in and share a tea cup of yours just go and create your post with  your tea cup in it, then come back here and sign up below.

Hugs,
Terri

Love U

I do love jewelry with meaning....
As a gift this necklace says...I love and care about you...

and it also means "Love U" as to love our own selves...

which is healing...creative and powerful...
and sometimes we need reminding  : )

Is there something loving you can do for yourself today?
(me? yes, today I am going to create my new vision board!)

To create this heart pendant, I water colored the background and stamped on the rose and leaf design.
After soldering it, I put on a light patina.
Hugs, Terri

Earth's Blessings

Happy May Day!
I always think of flowers on the first of this sweet month
In grade school we used to to have a saying 'April Showers bring May flowers...
and it is true!
Flowers and more...

...there is a magic in the green-ness of Spring...
a freshness....
That

brings me in closer tune with the Earth.

A daily walk around to visit all the herbs in pots around my house...

truly brings me a strong sense of Well being...

Just breathing in the scent of beautiful herbs and flowers puts me in a state of....

 Gratitude

and JOY

Thank you so much for coming by to visit!
hugs,
Terri
