Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday with Martha and myself...
Today the sky is heavy with dark clouds.
I had a challenging time getting some images of my tea.
So please excuse my awful exposure!
(I am borrowing the two images below from my archives)
Both of these cups I have shared before, the one above is a vintage 50s Paragon...
I just love the coloring and this sweet handle.
The X and two dots are interesting...
I think they may be artists mark...
or maybe signify seconds?
What do you think ladies?
This pretty cup also sports a fancy handle, and it is a German made cup.
Royal Bayreuth
Bavaria, Germany US Zone. This cup was manufactured during World War 2.
This company began in 1794 and was highly prized for it's designs by the
Victorians. It's backstamp includes the Royal Coat of arms of Bavaria.
The initials were written on in permanent marker...
I am thinking the owner wanted to make sure no one took her cup home from the pot luck!
For a special treat, I am having some delicious gluten free brownies, that my dear hubby baked.
Chamomile tea will go beautifully with them!
I wish you could join me for tea!
The sun peeked out from the dark clouds for one minute, and a very optimistic birdie began singing loudly!
I think this bird has the right idea....

The teacups are stunning! I also have a Bavarian, German US Zone tea set. I love the brownies gluten free, wish I had one with some tea right this minute!! Both cups are lovely but the one on the left appeals more to me because of its shade of green. Also, I adore its handle. Those brownies are quite special! Yum, yum! Your husband is a good baker from what I can see. I love your vase, by the way!

I'm in a new season of work and am way out of balance with it's research and writing demands. Working towards getting my life back in some way. Plus - daughter is getting married in a month! Sneaking in to post today after a 6 week absence - feels good but I'm on the clock with students arriving soon!!

My Dear friend and I just got back from a wonderful tea lunch in Carefree Arizona. Haven't been for a long time. One of the last REAL Tea Houses left in Az English Rose Tea House. You would have loved it there. Come visit. Love your posts not a lot of tea drinkers out here. Sharon
