Thank Full ness

"Friendship doubles your joys, and divides your sorrows"

This is an apt quote for me today. Thank you all for your well wishes for my health and your many kind comments about my blog and art. You are all so special! Imagine this, a world online where people "meet", share their passion for art and grow to care and know about each other! How totally cool is that???
I am so grateful for each and everyone of you. I wish I had the hours in a day to go to all of your blogs! Each day I visit many and hopefully I will see you all in time.
I love to blog, I love to create, and I love to share it. Even more, I love to see what you all are doing out there too! You all inspire me. You delight me with your creativity. You touch my heart with your daily kindness. If I could, I would hug everyone of you!

So that's it for now. In the meantime, I will enjoy my life! I have so many things I want to create. I also have a trip to Paris coming up soon. Wow! I can hardly imagine that!
Hugs
Terri
On the creative side, these photos are of a vintage dress I bought while out with my daughter a couple weeks ago. I saw this dress handing in a shop and knew I would not be leaving the shop without it! The photo does not show the gorgeous delicate pink that it is. The material is incredible, and the rhinestone top makes me swoon!

For now I am going to preserve it. I would love to know the best way to do that, if I need to clean it or not. There are a few rusty looking spots, and some of the rhinestones are coming loose. Anyone know the best way for me to care for this dress?

BTW, I am planning to do something "French" when I return from my trip. It will be a surprise, and it will involve giveaways, free downloads of....ooops, I don't want to ruin the surprise!

Hugs to you all!
Terri

What a delightful blog, and so glad I discovered you! ;) I thought to extend an invitation to our "Victorian Tea Party", on Monday, May 10 (Mother’s Day) With so many pretty teacups here, and I can tell how much you love them! I'm so hoping you would be able to participate and show your pretty teacups at our party! Come see... I also would love if you could advertise our party on your next Tuesday meme on your blog, as to encourage your participants and teacup lovers to participate... is a teacup thing you know! ;) Anyway, our little logo is on my blog... and I will participate on your meme next Tuesday...

Have a blessed weekend!

Terri, I'm so glad to have "met" you through blogging just the other day. I didn't know you were having health problems. I hope that all will be resolved for you soon and that your healing can begin. What a joy it is, I agree with you, to have blogging friends and our creative pursuits. They both help during times of stress and trouble, don't they.

Enjoy your trip! We'll look forward to having you back.

Blessings,
Diane

Dear Terri,
You are in my thoughts and in my prayers. And You are right....knowledge is power and you can be helped by surgery.
In the unit that I work in, many of my patients have had back surgery and neck surgery. They usually do very well with it.

Terri...I will continue to send positive thoughts your way and hope that all the information you receive will result in a positive and relatively pain-free solution to your ailments. Lord knows that this time of our life brings us all things we never expected.

And the DRESS....OMG! It should not be stored, but worn. You should take it with you to Paris. Some things are not meant to be saved....some things should be savored....and this is one of those things. If you just store it, you'll never get full enjoyment out of it. Wear it! You'd look beautiful in it...it's your color! You deserve it!!

Sending lovely thoughts your way!

Christy

Hello dear lady. I am not sure how I found you but am so glad i did. Special prayers go out to you and your health struggles that are ahead of you. You seem to have a wonderful attitude about it all. I am 55 and surprisingly, had a heart attack last year, the day after Christmas. I thought I had the flu, but that's another story. It has opened my eyes to many things and I am thankful God gave me another chance at life...most days. You sound like a loving and kind person who will just sail through anything that comes your way!! I love your crafts and your beautiful blog. Stop by Blueberryplains some time.

Hello Terri, what a truly beautiful post, your words alone are so positive and inspiring.

And your dress wow it is amazing and you will look a million dollars in it.
please share the pics wearing it.

not sure if this helps but if you want to put it away always use acid free tissue to wrap it in.
I can imagine you making a beautiful chic box to house it making sure the paper etc on the inside is acid free.

Have a wonderful week ahead and take care

Terri, you, inspire me. I think the secret to a life well lived, is to stay within the moments that come our way, and try to make the most of each of them. To give them meaning. You surely do that.

The dress is lovely. I'm not sure the best way to launder it, as some of the old fabrics are very fragile, and often an expert in such things is called for. I bought an old victorian crazy quilt and learned that I shouldn't launder it, as many of the old fabrics had metal, and salts in them that cause them to disentegrate. It can be a little intimidating to think about, when you want to preserve something for future generations to enjoy too.

I wish you well, and will hold a good thought, that the future will bring you good health and always, peace and happiness.

A beautiful, beautiful heartfelt post my dear Terri, you inspire me with your wonderful attitude towards life. I hope that all will go well for you and that whatever treatment you need will make you feel better :)

The dress is gorgeous, but I am not sure how you would clean it. I do have a blogging friend who collects and sells vintage clothing who may be able to help you, she has a lot of wedding gowns so she must know a thing or two.
Blessings, Lynn

Terri you are such a sweetheart♥! Your blog is such a positive and beautiful place; I always love visiting you.
You have all my sympathies re: the neck. I have had problems with mine for over 25 years and recently have had to stop using my PC for a while because sitting looking at the screen just aggrevates the problem. I do hope your doctor can provide the help you need.
Big hug
