Tea Cup Tuesday-Black and Gold

Hello All! I can hardly believe it is Monday night already! The days seem to be flying by. It is just as they say "Time flies when you are having fun". I must be having an enormous amount of fun then!

Today I am sharing a cup that I have shared before, but it is so unique it needs repeating. I had never seen one like this before, and I haven't seen one since. I think it suits the Autumn season perfectly!

When I first spotted it in the antique shop I was drawn by the dramatic black and gold and the fleur de lis.
Each one is hand painted, so they are all just a tad different. I like that about his cup!

This handle is so classy! That is a good size thumb rest on it!

I also appreciate the interesting bottom, I haven't seen a footed cup like this before either.

This is the plate with it's lovely floral bouquet.

As you can see it is a Royal Stafford China cup. Since it says "Made in England"
I know it was created after 1920.

I hope you all are doing well and enjoying the fall. The trees are turning little by little each day and looking so gorgeous! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog for a visit. I am excited to come see your tea cups!
If you want to play along just create a post about your tea cup and then come back here and sign up with Linky tools below. Martha and I delight in coming to visit you and your tea cups!
Hugs,
Terri

Terri, your teacup is worth re - posting about. It is beautiful and unique. I don't think I have seen any black teacups other than on-line and this one is dramatic , yet with the flowers inside the cup, it is also beautiful.

Thank-you for hosting this Tea Cup Tuesday.

Hi Terri, I loved your Royal Stafford tea cup and saucer!
The gold over black decoration gives it a unique and very exquisite look.
I hadn't seen it yet, so thanks for showing it again.
I've got a Royal Stafford trio that I find lovely but I haven't posted it so far (maybe in one or two weeks...)
Thanks for hosting another very nice tea party.

Beautiful! I always have loved black and gold and can never resist anything with fleur de lis on it. I just bought a very old mirror with that motif on it. Happy Day!

Terri, that cup is stunning! It just looks "rich." I can't recall ever seeing a predominately black teacup, but your post has shown how exquisite one can be! Bess
