We has surprise visitors for Easter...
Rain, Wind and Cold Front!
Hence, no Easter picnic tea.
But we did have a very nice day anyways.
And I am ready for the first nice day for my picnic.
Instead of sharing my picnic today...
I am sharing a very romantic cup!
I bought this cup soon after returning home from France,
and had seen a cup that looked like it at Versailles.
So I was quite excited to bring her home.
I think she is old.
She is certainly thin and delicate.
Her coloring is just right for Easter.

Inside the rim we are treated to several different posies.
This sweet violet posy has a tiny insect by it on the right side...

At first I thought it was a flaw, but no,
when I enlarged it to work on the image,

I could see it has little tiny wings!
This could be forget me not?
and maybe another posey of forget me nots?
(please excuse the blue tint...have no idea where it came from!)
The cup has this mark on it.
I think it looks interesting,
but I have no idea the manufacturer.
Here is an image of the stamped marks on the plate
...something 79 and a 1...plus two tick marks by the artist?

Terri, mother nature has certainly been unpredictable. I'm swooning over your teacup ... it looks very similar to a teacup brought back from Paris (with a monkey and the same swag of floral) ...when I get back to the country house I will check the bottom of mine. It's certainly time for the guest to LEAVE! We had a storm here as well, but 2 days before. Love your teacup! Just beautiful! And your crocuses are lovely.

what a gorgeous cup Terri! Sorry about your Easter picnic plans. It was the same for my friends who went to the beach I go to but here we had a most beautiful warm, sunny day. I hope it's come your way by now.
What a lovely cup. Maybe someone will see it and know more about it. Sorry to hear you couldn't have your Easter picnic due to the weather. We had beautiful weather here so spent some time outside. I was able to put out some flowers Friday. And my yard is full of yellow and purple - dandelions and henbit! Oh, well, the kids think they are pretty!

Terri this is such a lovely teacup. Sorry Mother Nature did not warm up for your picnic. I even enjoy a full blanket picnic indoors by the fireplace when outside is cold or wet. I may be going to Versailles one of these days and I hope to see all the beauty I have heard of. Blissful Tea Dear...
Very nice teacup. We had an unexpected visitor here in Seattle--sun! We usually get the storms but, it was rather nice. Thank you for sharing your teacup with us and the crocus are beautiful.

Here in Sweden the weather was sunny and warm, so you could sit on the balcony and just enjoy the spring is finally here :)
