Feeling Blue

Hello All!
Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday!

Interesting that we think of "feeling blue" as
describing feeling down or depressed.
Blue seems to be so cheery, doesn't it?
Especially when paired with white.

How about a cup of tea
with me?

I have set up our table with two blue tea cups,
One for you and one for me : )

We have pretty blue napkins today,
a gift from Dorthe, thank you!

Two oatmeal cookies for you,
one for  me...

Made by my husband,
he is a sweetie.

Which tea cup would you like to use today?
(chamomile tea today, I hope that is o.k.)

I love both so pick away : )

The best part of having tea,
can be sharing it with a friend.

We could chat about the weather,
or family,
what we are passionate about,
or what we are creating lately...
(may be the same!)

It is the last week of February,
can you believe it?

I have  been doing a little painting,
a little sewing and a little
papercrafting.

How about you?

I hope you and your loved ones
are all well.

I hope my blue and white tea
helps cheer your day as well as mine : )

Thank you for stopping by for tea!
I enjoyed visiting with you.

Martha is hosting T.T.
and has already begun decorating for Easter.
She has some lovely tea cups today to share.
Thank you Martha

I am joining Bernideen's BTTCG blog party
Sandi for No Place Like Home.
And Judith for Mosaic Monday.
also, with Ruth for Tuesday Cuppa Tea.
 Thank you for hosting ladies!
(for some reason this part will not enlarge!)
Hugs,
Terri

Just beautiful Terri! Love the mosaic!

I wouldn't mind either of the teacups because blue and white china is perfect for sharing tea with a friend. The napkins certainly match too, as much as I like cotton/linen, there are some pretty paper ones to use.

As I get older I'm finding I love blue and all its tones, shades and hues so relaxing! And blue and white dinnerware is my favourite. Thanks for sharing your tea today.

I'll take the first teacup, Terri! What pretty napkins to go with our tea today, and how'd your sweet hubby know that oatmeal cookies are my most favorite cookie in the world???!! I'd be happy to visit, talk, and share with you, while sipping camomile tea and munching a cookie. Yum!

Dear Terri:
You caught me with that title "Feeling Blue"! Ha! Lovely teacups, cookies and photos. I love it all. The napkins are really lovely too! Glad you shared. I am still telling people about your Jane Austen Christmas Tree!

It has been lovely to stop a while and enjoy a cuppa with you - Camomile is perfect on account of some delicate stomachs following our recent adventures, and talking of delicate I always love to have my tea in fine china (must be the British in me) and your tea cups are perfect :)
Happy days
Wren x

I love the white and blue teacups!
Before discovering your blog, I never sat foot in an antique store. I never saw the beauty in old cups and used china. I now I find myself popping by every store I see. And dear Terri - I find treasures! What used to be seen as "junk", I now see as beautiful little works of art. I even made some candles in two old cups I found at a market :-)
Thank you so much for being such an inspiration!
Greatful thanks from Norway,
Kjersti

such lovely settings of blue and white! How nice your hubby will take a turn in the kitchen. That's something that will never happen in my house, but that's OK. Enjoy your art time and tea!

I remember your blue teacup with the birds from a while ago. I had seen the same teacup only in red at an antique shop but they wanted sixty-five dollars for it. Alas, it never did come home with me. What pretty napkins too. Thank you for sharing with us and I hope you are having wonderful day, Terri.

Blessings,
Sandi

Hello my dear Terri,
what a delightful table you made, with your lovely blue cups, and the beautiful white tulips .I`m happy the napkins fits perfectly in there . I used one for a collaged card torn into smaller pieces.
Both your cups are so lovely, in both pattern and form, and those oatmeal cookies your husband baked looks so yummy. He is truly a wonderful husband, Henning cooks a lot, but bake cookies I think will not happen , lol-
Thank you dear for the lovely email, you will soon hear from .
Wishing you a wonderful week my lovely friend.

I remember the Billie Holiday song AM I BLUE:
Am I blue, am I blue
Aint these tears in my eyes telling you
Am I blue, you'd be too
If each plan with your man done fell through

Was a time I was his only one
But now Im the sad and lonely one, lonely
Was I gay till today
Now hes gone and we're through, am I blue

Was I gay till today
Now hes gone and we're through, am I blue
Oh he's gone, he left me, am I blue

I love your blue! I have always thought of the color blue being restful.

Blues are always my heartthrob and sipping chamomile tea with you is divine. Your hubbies cookies look delicious and please thank him for sharing. We shall chat about all the beautiful Spring blossoms...yellow daffodils, trees covered in white or soft pink and lovely purple crocus blossoms. Now this is a lovely way to spend an afternoon...thank you dear.
