Tea Cup Tuesday-Spring Flowers

Hello All!
Happy Tea Cup Tuesday!

This morning, I went out side early
and enjoyed the quiet beauty.

I enjoy walking around my yard...
seeing the new buds, and new blooms...
Smell the fresh morning air...
appreciate the birdsong,
and the beautiful morning sky...
What a feeling of wellbeing!

We only have a few days left of springtime...
Summer is just around the corner!

Today I am having some dragonwell tea by Adagio.
I think I have tried this one before, but did not really enjoy it.
I thought I might give it another go,
and I was careful about the temperature of the water and steeping time.

This is what it looks like when the tea leaves begin to reconstitute.

Alas, I did not like it the second time either : (
Ah well, I have loved all their other teas.
Have any of you had this tea?
Do you like it?

My cup today is a Royal Grafton.
Isn't she pretty?
She seems to be a regular lately.

Here is the next chair for a Annie Sloan makeover!
I have had this chair for about a year,
and finally decided this will be the final out door garden chair.
Next post you will see how she turned out.
(and yes, I think I am addicted to painting chairs)

She is all painted and sealed now...
and awaiting a new seat cover.
Which I am sewing today from some
lovely cream linen.
When she is all dressed I will share her too : )

I am wishing you all the best week,
I am also wishing for weather more suitable for out door tea!
lol!
It has been raining cats and dogs here on and off for ages...
seems like ever since I planned My Garden Tea.

We have also had the breeziest springtime.
My tea tent has been flapping in the wind!
And next week it is time to share with you My Garden Tea
during Tea Cup Tuesday...
I know some of you are also preparing a special post for it.

And speaking of dogs...

Emma and Besty were sitting pretty for me....

They have been my companions out in the yard as I work on the tent.
They are sporting their new summer haircuts.
(they look so serious...lol!)

Hugs to you all!

Terri

Oh, Terri, your rose bouquet is so beautiful! Those different shades are an amazing lot!
I also admired this week's teacup and the lovely chair you're about to make over. I love it the way it is, but now I'm looking forward to seeing the final result...
And your puppies!!! What sweet companions!

Hi Terri!
I sure hope we have drier weather for an outside tea. It rained buckets here last night and it's supposed to rain more today. Thank you for hosting.

Good morning Terri,
I cannot wait to see your chairs! I love what I have seen so far; such luscious colours! How pretty your garden tea will be! That is a lovely teacup as well. I have not tried your tea and I don't think I would find it here. Have a beautiful day, my friend.

Blessings,
Sandi

Terri, your pups are so cute, and the flowers are beautiful. We have not had the best weather either and wishing for better growing weather. Your chairs are coming along nicely and can't wait to see them all done at your tea.

Emma and Betsey are too cute. They look like they enjoy visiting your lovely garden, too. Really enjoyed this post -- seeing your cut flowers and the lovely springtime teacup. I do like dragonwell (usually)... perhaps it is the brand??? Happy Tea Day and Thank YOU for hosting!

Hi Terri! Lovely cup - yes - I tend to have my favorites every few weeks, too. And, I also have given some teas a second go around. Even there, I cling to my Almond Cookies Green Tea blend from my friend's tea shop. Looking forward to the chair reveal. How can you turn an indoor chair into an outdoor chair - will you be treating the wood? Always an inspiration at Artful Affirmations!
Joy!

Hi Terri,
I am sorry that you didn't like the tea. I cannot imagine what herb it is. But the infusion looks not really interesting. The tea cup looks much more exiting. Your accoutrements for the tea party are amazing. This new chair is so beautiful wood with the nice carvings. I am so curious what you all will make for the tea party. Thank you for sharing your creativity and for hosting this sweet event.
Best greetings, Johanna

OMG those sweet faces of Emma and Betsy:):)Gorgeous bouquet of flowers! I'm beginning to get a bit envious of your FAB chair findings Terri. We're having off and on thunderstorms today but it's also been very humid the last few days -not so good for walking or staying outdoors for extended periods. But I still get pout a bit to enjoy the sounds and scents of spring/summer as you do.

Hi Terri
I have dragonwell loose tea and have tried it a couple of times; too earthy for me I think.
Perhaps we'll see roses for your garden tea; you have some pretty ones this week.
Your girls are adorable.

Hi Terri. I showed Chloe your puppies and she just about died of cuteness overload! They are the cutest little girls we've seen in forever. C's boyfriend's family has a little Yorkie named Cocoa but she's called Wookie! C is saying we should send your photo along as an example of how Wookie should be groomed. C's an expert now because she has a part time job as a dog groomer while she's in her university. (It keeps her in hairdressers and pantyhose...well, actually, mountain climbing gear) I do love your sweet little cup and the pretty bunches of flowers on her. It seems that each week one cup is lovelier than the next and I'm afraid I'm starting to feel quite addicted the the lovely little things. So looking forward to our garden party next week. Big hugs to you for now. :)

Hello, hello! My goodness, I love your cup! So sweet with flowers inside and out. Clever of you to note that water temp is important, especially for greens and oolongs. I agree with you that a walk outside to 'visit' the various blossoms is so rewarding. Happy June. Thanks for hosting :)

Dear Terri,
So I`m home again after visiting my daughter end the kids :-)
I can see you are not only enjoying your beautiful garden, but also painting another lovely chair- again!! I love your roses dear friend- they looks fantastic in those strong colours, and the bouquet is amazing!
I don`t know those teas you are telling about, and have not eighter tasted them- but sometimes I also buy some that I don`t like!!! They are then used to colour little snippets of laces :-)
How wonderful is your doggies, so sweet and cute they looks, -they must be the dearest friends!!!

Hello Dear Terri
What a lovely post! Your roses are just stunning. I know the joy of the early morning garden walks, taking in all the beauty and looking up to those beautiful skies.

I haven't heard of that tea either but they are never wasted even the tea bags I use in my work. I used one in my last collage. Will show soon!

Now I'm getting really excited about your lovely Garden Tea Party next week to see all of your hard work coming to fruition. It will be fun! All of your reworked chairs look gorgeous to date.
Enjoy your gifts too dear friend!

Sending some tea cuppa hugs to you!

Suzy
