Tea Cup Tuesday-Lovely Gift

Hello All!
Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday with Martha and I.
We are happy to see you today : )
My friend Jan from A Journey sent me  this tea cup for my birthday last week.
Jan is such a sweetie, and I was delighted that she thought of me.

She is a sweet trio, such lovely spring colors too!
She came in a pretty floral round box that matches her pattern.

Pink roses, and fanciful colorful wildflowers adorn
the rim of the cup and the plates.
The fresh trim has lovely shades of green and blue.
I love it!

Here is the backstamp. We see Ashdene manufactured her. The pattern name is Kensington.
I am sure to have many lovely mornings waking up with tea in this cup!
Thank you so much Jan! I appreciate your kindness.

Today was rain and clouds all day. Thunder rumbled around my house several times.
I am writing this late Monday night...
The rain is still coming down. It sounds soothing though.
Especially as I am listening to "Music for Solo Harp"...with Elisabeth Hainen
Rosetti, sonata No. 2
Spohr, Fantisie
Glinka, Nocturn
Alvars, Serenade
Very beautiful, and very calming.

Thank you all for stopping by!

Thank you all again for your very lovely birthday wishes!
I wish for you all a year ahead with many opportunities for JOY.

If you would like to join in Tea Cup Tuesday, just go and prepare your post with the tea cup in it you would like to share. Then come back here and link up below to that specific post.

Terri I think that is one of the most beautiful modern teacup china sets I have laid eyes upon - it's composition and bright white is stunning, absolutely STUNNING.

Wow, is that ever a SWEET gift from a dear friend. GORGEOUS!!

Thanks for hosting, my link isn't much on tea this time - my home is being kinda renovated a little and I can't "stage" any teas right now - but I did manage to host a demitasse teacup giveaway, so it does have at least one tea cup in it!

Have a wonderful day. it was definately a good tea sipping day, cold and rainy and blustery, huh?

What a lovely gift, Terri! I love the green rim on the cup and also the mixture of the roses with the blue and lilac flowers. It's a sweet ensemble with its own plate thus enabling you to have a treat along with your tea using the same pattern which is very nice.

The turquise brim around the cup and plates is so beautiful with all the little pink and blue flowers, what a wonderful birthday gift dear Terri, from Jan. You will enjoy many wonderful teas in this lovely cup.

Hello Terri
Your trio is pretty and Ashdene is the make of my lavender teapot and mugs - they produce nice tea things.
I'll have to look for the CD you mentioned, I like harp music and would love to learn to play. At a one-of-a-kind show a couple of years ago a booth had small, medium and large harps for sale so they come in all sizes.
