Happy Tea Cup Tuesday!

Hello All! Can you believe it is Tuesday again....already????
Time flies when we are having fun! Martha and I are having a grand time playing tea cups with you each week. Please stop by and see the fabulous Martha, she will have gorgeous cups for you to oooh and aaahhhh over(like I do each week!).
Today I am sharing a cup with you that I use often. It is not an old cup, I have had it for about 10 years or so. It was new when I bought it. This cup is full of vibrant colors and is a lovely summer tea cup. I have always loved the beautiful pansy flower and this tea cup is covered with them! It is a well made cup and feels very good in the hands.

This is, I believe, a split handle with a thumb rest at the top.

It was made by the Duchess China Co. One of the many companies that have changed hands over the years.

I use this tea pot with it. The colors are complimentary and so spring like as well. Very vibrant. It was made in England by the Windsor China Co. This pot holds about 5 cups of tea. Yea!

A vintage compact I bought in France, along with a butterfly pin I also found there.

An ATC (artist trading card) that I created to remind myself to encourage my hopes! The back says...."not your fears". The lovely girl image is from Paperwhimsy.
The stamp set is by Tim Holtz.

Thank you so much for dropping by today. If you have a tea cup you would like to showcase with us please make your post first and then come back and sign up with Mr. Linky below. It is really easy, just fill in the two blanks and you will be automatically added to the list and we can all come see you!

Hugs,
Terri

Ooops! I forgot the first time I posted this, that I have a Tea Cup Tuesday Giveaway going on!!!

I am reading one of these books now, and it is really fascinating. It is about teatime history through Jane Austen's eye's. Just leave a comment and mention that you would like to enter for this book.

Terri,Have you been by my blog yet? Oh my, the company that made my cups I posted today must have borrowed the pattern from the co. that made your tea cup and tea pot.
The handles are different and mine does not have any fine gold trim but it is the same flower design.

Just discovered your blog, how lovely! I would love to be entered in the book giveaway. I collect tea cups and all things related to Victorian high tea and I love the works of Jane Austen. So glad I found you!

That is one gorgeous teapot!!! Love the teacup too.

Actually, it's hard to find any teacups that aren't lovely, isn't it? I'm not sure I've ever seen any.

I also must say, I love your little trading card. Keeping hopes alive and encouraged is SO important...that is the main reason I am using the username A Hopeful Heart instead of my real name. ALL of us have to keep a hopeful heart. Without hope, I would be depressed out of my mind.

Blessings,
Patti

I had to scroll back and forth between the tea cup and tea pot to see that they didn't match exactly. Had you not said something, I think I might have missed it. Yes, they do compliment each other perfectly.

Have a lovely Tea Cup Tuesday and since I've started drinking tea, I would love to know everything I can about tea, so would love to read that book.

One of my old friends went to England and brought me back not one but two cups and saucers that I have treasured dearly dearly for many years. It makes it extra special having a cup of tea out of one of them with homemade cookies baked with love. I LOVE all things Jane Austen, and would love the book!

Thanks for the lovely post!

Warmly,
Nancy
