Tea Cup Tuesday Debut!

Welcome to our very first Tea Cup Tuesday!
I have admired tea cups for many years now. Over time I have collected a few that I truly enjoy drinking from.

What I love about Tea Cups is that they make you want to sit down and drink from them.
They ask for you to have a beautiful moment.
Tea Cups are so lovely they make it easy to feel special.
Tea cups are so beautiful, whatever you drink from them tastes even better.

The tea cup I am sharing today, I found in a Canadian town called Sault Ste. Marie.
It was sitting in a little antique store just waiting for me to pick it up!
I love it's soft blue color and the beautiful roses.

From the little I could find through Google, It seems that Adderly was taken over by Ridgeway Potteries in Longton England in 1947. They still used the Adderly name for a while though. I could make a guess and say that this cup may have been made between then and 1960. I would like to learn more about this, so I will keep researching.
Here are the links to other sites that are participating today. Have a good time visiting with these wonderful ladies. (If your name isn't on here and it should be, I am so sorry. Please e-mail me and I will fix it pronto..nliten@usa.net)

Thanks for visiting my blog sometime ago, that is how i found you. Blessings, Marta.

Hey Terri! I love your cup and the story behind it. I can't wait to see more of your collection. I have several that my grandmother passed down to me, but today I shared an old favorite. You'll understand when you see it, lol. Thanks for all you do to bring joy to my day. xoxo Rhonda...

This is such a pretty teacup Terri, I have one similar, white with almost the same roses.
Maybe I can join in next week, I didn't know you had started the Tea Cup Tuesday.

That is such a lovely teacup, Terri! My grandmother collected teacups and I had many of them until someone knocked into the cabinet that held them. They fell to the ground. I was so upset - but that is many years ago and now I am starting to collect them again in honor of her.

So beautiful. I love Tea Cups! I will definitely have to stop back and see more.
I had a Tea Cup with 3 little legs and a matching saucer from my grandmother who's family came from England. I always kept it in my headboard as a child and one day knocked it somehow out of the headboard and it broke. I was DEVASTATED! I will never be able to replace it.

I did just receive the same grandmothers China set and it had 12 teacups and saucers in a Queen Anne's Lace print. Very simple, yet very pretty!

Have a wonderful Tea Cup Tuesday!!!
